RESUMENLa siguiente exploración, intenta observar la reconstrucción de la vida y obra de Jorge Luís Borges en tres obras: Autobiographical essay (Borges, 1970), autobiografía de Jorge Luís Borges, Borges, una biografía literaria (RM, 1987) de Emir Rodríguez Monegal, y los libros y la noche (Bauer,1999) documental del cineasta y documentalista Tristán Bauer. Nos interesará explorar cómo la figura del autor argentino es trazada en los tres relatos, intentando preocuparnos de la forma que adquiere la narración en cada caso, más que en el contenido mismo. Finalmente, esbozaremos una reflexión sobre la narración testimonial y sus variantes, las cuales según los casos examinados, escapan a la retórica usual de la biografía, produciendo otros modos de elaboración discursiva de la memoria que van de la mano de la ficción.ABSTRACTThe following investigation observes the reconstruction of the life and work of Jorge Luis Borges in 3 publications: Autobiographical essay (Borges, 1970), Borges, una biografía literaria (RM, 1987) by Emir Rodríguez Monegal, and Los libros y la noche (Bauer,1999) a documentary by director and documentary filmmaker Tristan Bauer. We are interested in exploring how the figure of the Argentinian author is depicted in these 3 works, concerning ourselves with the form each narrative acquires, more than in the content itself. Finally, we sketch a reflection on the testimonial narrative and its variants which, considering the cases analyzed here, escape the usual rhetoric of the biography, producing other methods of elaborating the discourse of memory that go hand in hand with fiction, have more to do with fiction than non.
