| dc.description | RESUMENEste artículo aborda las representaciones sociales que difunde el diario The Clinic acerca de la categoría de los políticos. Se definen, describen y aplican las concepciones referidas a dichas representaciones a partir de lo planteado por distintos autores vinculados al ámbito de la Psicología Social y al Lenguaje. Además se analizan imágenes y textos aparecidos en la portada del medio de comunicación aludido, referidos a tres de los candidatos a la Presidencia de la República. Dichos análisis muestran una concepción negativa respecto a los candidatos tradicionales y una concepción positiva acerca de los candidatos que representan la novedad y el cambio, lo cual podría influir en las interpretaciones que los ciudadanos realizan respecto de los candidatos.ABSTRACTThis article discusses the social representations that spreads The Clinic newspaper about the category of politicians. Are defined, described and apply the concepts relating to those representations from the issues raised by different authors related to the field of Social Psychology and Language. Furthermore, we analyze images and text appearing on the cover of the media mentioned with regard to three of the candidates for President of the Republic. Such analysis shows a negative perception about traditional candidates and a positive conception about the candidates that represent the novelty and change, which could influence the interpretations that people make regarding candidates. | es-ES |
