RESUMENEn el siguiente trabajo se aborda el concepto del mal banal Arendtiano como idea que caracteriza de manera concreta y fulminante la perversidad humana del siglo XX en su más terrible y radical aparición: Auschwitz.  El estudio fue dividido en tres partes, en la primera se procede a evidenciar la aparición de ese nuevo horror que muestran los relatos sobre Auschwitz de P. Levi y V.Frank respectivamente. En la segunda parte, se caracteriza el concepto de mal banal introducido por H. Arendt. Posteriormente, en la tercera sección, ponemos en función estas categorías en La muerte y La Doncella de A. Dorfman.  El objetivo principal del trabajo es reflexionar sobre el humanismo e intentaré dar ciertas luces sobre la interrogante ¿Qué es lo que queda y no queda de Chile?ABSTRACTThe following article deals with the concept of evil as banal idea that characterizes Arendt in concrete and fulminant human perversity of the twentieth century in its most terrible and radical appearance: Auschwitz and a normal human being.  The study was divided into three parts, the first is to show the emergence of this new show the horror stories about Auschwitz P. Levi and V. Frank respectively.  The second part is the concept introduced by the banality of evil H. Arendt. Then in the third place according to these categories in the play Death and the Maiden of A.Dorfman. The main objective of the work is to reflect on humanism.
