| dc.description | Dark Tourism consists of visiting places linked to death and suffering such as battlefields, castles, areas of natural disasters among other places (attractions). In this sense, we believe that this modality can be promoted as a "tourism product" in Angola and the province of Benguela, taking into account the perspective of sustainable tourism, local development and knowledge of recent history and vicissitudes experienced by the populations; a legacy to be passed on to present and future generations. The present proposal emerges as an alternative to sustainable tourism, open to new business initiatives, aims at the generation of jobs and income as an instrument to fight hunger and poverty in the local communities that in times gone by were theater of war operations; places that in our view, are susceptible to a use as a unique tourist product. | en-US |
| dc.description | El turismo oscuro (Dark Tourism) consiste en visitar lugares ligados a la muerte y al sufrimiento tales como campos de batallas, castillos, zonas de desastres naturales entre otros lugares (atractivos) afines. En este sentido, consideramos que esta modalidad, puede ser potenciada como "producto turístico" en Angola y en la provincia de Benguela, teniendo en cuenta la perspectiva del turismo sostenible, de desarrollo local y del conocimiento de la historia reciente y vicisitudes vividas por las poblaciones; un legado a transmitir a las generaciones actuales y futuras. La presente propuesta, surge como alternativa del turismo sostenible, abierto a las nuevas iniciativas de negocios, busca la generación de empleos e ingresos como instrumento de combate al hambre y la pobreza en las comunidades locales que en tiempos pasados fueron teatro de operaciones bélicas; lugares que, en nuestra visión, son susceptibles a un aprovechamiento como producto turístico singular. | es-ES |
