The objective of this document is to analyze the behavior of emerging and developed economies from 1999 to 2016 and part of 2017, and its relation to the great global crisis carried out between 2008 and 2009. The methodology used in this study consisted in comparing a group of representative countries of the emerging and developed economies, to analyze the economic growth of these, before and after the first global crisis of the present century, in addition to some socioeconomic variables such as the trade balance, unemployment and standard of living. On the other hand, it is well known that the emergence of emerging economies is due in large part to their access to the capital market, which has allowed their growth, although of course it carries immersed an imminent risk, due to how sensitive it is this type of market before the changes or movements of the political variables of the countries in the world-wide scope. In this article, the economic and social growth behavior of some emerging and developed countries such as China, India, Singapore, Japan, Germany, United Kingdom, United States, Russia, Canada, Brazil, South Africa, Chile and Colombia were considered.en-US
