| dc.description | The following paper gives an overview of the origins and principal characteristics of the cryptocurrency market as well as price dynamics, capitalization market size and trading volumes. A price index based on cryptocurrencies is proposed capturing appropriately from a statistical perspective, the dynamics and variability of the most important cryptocurrencies of this market. The proposed index performance is contrasted with another public domain market reference called MVIS-CryptoCompare Digital Assets 10 Index, reflecting the particularities and capabilities of the proposal in capturing significantly the variability to provide a good representation of the cryptocurrency movements in the context of a market that grow fast. | en-US |
| dc.description | El siguiente documento presenta un panorama general del origen, características y comportamiento del mercado de criptomonedas, precios de referencia, tamaño del mercado y volúmenes de negociación. Se propone la construcción de un índice de precios basado en criptomonedas que recoge apropiadamente desde una perspectiva estadística la dinámica y variabilidad de las principales monedas de este mercado. El desempeño del índice propuesto se contrasta con otra referencia de mercado de dominio público MVIS- CryptoCompare Digital Assets 10 Index, reflejando las particularidades y capacidades de la propuesta en capturar una variabilidad significativamente importante para proporcionar una representación de los movimientos de las criptomonedas. | es-ES |
