En este artículo se exploran las dinámicas que adquieren los procesos de convivencia escolar y de construcción de ciudadanía en las experiencias juveniles. En el trabajo se presta atención a tres aspectos: la presencia y regulación de instancias de participación de los estudiantes; la percepción de situaciones injustas y la reivindicación de demandas estudiantiles. La investigación se efectúo en nueve escuelas de tres centros urbanos de la Argentina. En cada establecimiento se aplicaron encuestas y entrevistas a estudiantes y docentes, se realizaron observaciones de campo y se revisaron documentos institucionales. Los resultados sugieren que, a la par de la implementación de políticas que promueven nuevas dinámicas de convivencia escolar, persisten formas de regulación de los estudiantes que implican, no sólo la continuidad de un paradigma disciplinario, sino la consolidación de nuevas desigualdades. Asimismo, da cuenta de diferentes experiencias estudiantiles en función de las normas vigentes y su grado de participación en la construcción de las mis­mas que revelan diferentes formas de construcción de la ciudadanía.Abstract This article explores the dynamics that the processes of the school coexistence acquire and the construction of citizenship in the juvenile experiences. This work pays attention to three aspects: the presence and regulation of participation instances of the students, the perception of unjust situations, and the claims of the student’s demands. The re­search was developed in nine schools of three urban centers in Argentina. Surveys and interviews were applied to teachers and students in each of the schools, field observation and institutional documents were checked. The results suggest that at the same time with the implementation of policies that promote new dynamics of school coexistence, there persist forms of regulation of students that imply not only the continuation of a disciplinary paradigm, but also the consolidation of new inequalities. It also presents different students experiences in connection with the present regulations and the degree of participation of the students in the construction of them which reveal different forms of construction of citizenship.
