dc.description | La capacidad de gestión de las finanzas personales se ha vuelto cada vez más importante para evaluar alternativas de ahorro y de crédito. No obstante, diferentes estudios han mostrado que los jóvenes no han recibido una buena educación en temas financieros. Este estudio determinó los niveles de endeudamiento y de educación financiera de la población de adultos jóvenes de la ciudad de Chillán, ubicada en la Región de Ñuble. Se realizó un muestreo probabilístico con selección aleatoria, y se aplicó un cuestionario de 46 preguntas a una muestra de 99 individuos, con edades entre 18 y 39 años. El 54.5% de los encuestados declaró tener deudas con bancos o casas comerciales. El endeudamiento promedio entre quienes percibían ingresos, tenían deudas y conocían su monto, fue 12 veces el ingreso mensual. Por otra parte, el 51.5% registró un bajo conocimiento financiero, y el 69.7% mostró una educación financiera de nivel medio. | es-ES |
dc.description | The ability to manage personal finances has become increasingly important when assessing savings and bank loans alternatives. However, different studies have shown that young people have not received a good financial education. This study determined both, the level of indebtedness and financial education of young adult population in Chillan City, Nuble Region. A randomized probability sampling was conducted as well as a 46-question survey was given to subjects whose age ranged from 8 to 39 years. 54.5% of the respondents declared having debts with banks or department stores. The average indebtedness rate was 12 times their monthly income. On the other hand, 51.5% tested on low financial knowledge, and 69.7% showed a medium level financial education. | en-US |
