| dc.description | The author refers to the theoretical-conceptual development that originates and supports an architectural project. The context for this project is the expanding urban metropolitan growth and the demand of urban landform the development of low cost housing groups. One plausible alternative is to increase the density of the peripheral area of downtown Santiago, recovering existing megastructures by renewing residential zones. At the neighborhood level the solution here proposed is an urban-housing one which increases the density of the nearby surroundings. This consists of a mega-block with medium height department buildings, which already do exist and are inhabited. The public places are organized in order to avoid crime focus by the correlation of the physical and sociological structures as well as the visual and spatial control by the residents. | en-US |
| dc.description | La autora se refiere al desarrollo teórico conceptual que da origen y fundamenta un proyecto de arquitectura, en el contexto del crecimiento urbano metropolitano de carácter expansivo y la demanda de suelo urbano para la localización de conjuntos de viviendas económicas. Considera que una alternativa viable es densificar el pericentro de Santiago, recuperando megaestructuras existentes a través de la renovación de zonas residenciales. A escala de barrio, se propone una solución urbano-habitacional mediante la densificación del entorno inmediato, consistente en una mega-manzana con edificios de departamentos de media altura existentes y habitados. Configurando, además, los espacios públicos para resolver la presencia de focos criminógenos, a través de la correlación de la estructura física con la social del lugar y el control visual y espacial por parte de los residentes. | es-ES |
