| dc.description | This paper analyzes the rural dwelling situation in Chile, which takes place within the agricultural modernization process, especially in the fruit production and forestry areas. Evidences is given of the reasons which have stopped the traditional country to city migration; the process of rural spatial resettling is acknowledged as well. Comprueba y explica las razones que han contribuido a frenar la tradicional migración campo-ciudad, sin desconocer, no obstante, un proceso rural de reasentamiento espacial, generando demandas habitacionales en concordancia con las nuevas condiciones de vida.
