| dc.description | El objetivo de este artículo es analizar las proyecciones de la ciudad de Iquique en relación a su desarrollo económico-social. Para tal efecto, se plantean ocho hipótesis que marcarán su desarrollo futuro. De las hipótesis cinco se refieren al ámbito económico y tres a lo socio-cultural.

The purpose of this article is to analyse the projections of Iquique in regard to its social- economic development. Considering this, are explained eight hypothesis which will show its future development, from all the hypothesis, five of them refer to economic field and three to social-cultural field.
