| dc.description | Los campamentos mineros han constituido en el norte de Chile una importante fuente de socialización, relevancia dependiente de las transformaciones capitalistas, donde las crisis, nuevas producciones y cambio tecnológico, han promovido nuevas relaciones sociales al interior y exterior de la actividad laboral. En la década del 90 este sector productivo ha recuperado su importancia, debilitada por primera vez en su historia en las anteriores dos décadas.

The mining camps in the northern section of Chile have become an important source of socialization. Their importance has been dependent upon. The capitalistic transformations, where the crises and the technological developments have fostered new social relationships both inside and outside labor activity. In the 90’s, this sector has recovered their importance, weakened for the first time in its history in the previous two decades.
