| dc.description | El norte de Minas Gerais está recibiendo emprendimientos mineros que implican una nueva organización regional, junto a cambios en la organización territorial. En este contexto, se evaluó el posible impacto de la actividad económica en el territorio y en el paisaje cultural, con el área espacial del Valle del Río Pardo.El concepto de paisaje cultural adoptado en esta investigación abarca las nociones de memoria, identidad, tiempo y espacio y, sobre todo, las interacciones del ser humano, las relaciones sociales que se realizan y su percepción del lugar.El Río Pardo y sus afluentes son los principales elementos estructurales del paisaje cultural y la cultura económica del Valle del Río Pardo. Lo que mejor define e identifica el territorio y el paisaje cultural de este valle es su carácter rural y no urbano. Por esto último, constituye un punto de conexión y mediación entre el mundo local y regional, así como un punto de contacto con el resto del mundo.La característica principal del Río Pardo está dada por sus largos períodos secos que varían de año en año, por lo cual es a la vez el héroe y el villano de la zona, pues según las etapas de sequía puede mantener a la región y su base agrícola, o bien, hacer perder todo lo que se produce.Con la llegada de la minería, un gran número de agricultores cambiará la incertidumbre del campo por un trabajo estable en las empresas mineras. En este trabajo se analizan las consecuencias en el paisaje cultural del Valle del Río Pardo, provocadas por esta transformación de la actividad económica de la población. | es-ES |
| dc.description | The concept of cultural landscape used in this research encompasses the notions of memory, identity, time and space and, above all, the interactions of human beings, the social relations they carry out and their perception of the place.The Pardo River and its tributaries are the major structural elements of the Pardo River Valley´s cultural landscape and economic culture. What best defines and identifies the territory and the cultural landscape of this valley is its rural, not urban character. In this way, it is a point of connection and mediation between the local and regional worlds, as well as a point of contact with the rest of the world.The main characteristic of the Pardo River is its long dry periods that vary from year to year. For this reason, it is both the area´s hero and villain; depending on the periods of drought, it can sustain the region and its agricultural base, or cause the loss of all that is produced.With the advent of mining, a large number of farmers will exchange the uncertainty of the countryside for a stable job in the mining companies. This paper analyzes the impact of the transformation of the population´s economic activity on the Pardo River Valley´s cultural landscape. | en-US |
