| dc.description | According to the 2011 Report of UN-Habitat, in the coming years, this organisation will focus its work on sustainable urban development, based on three practical priorities. These priorities relate to the application of a “new urban planning”, which becomes a direct invitation to review our current planning instruments (IPT), exploring how they can be improved; and to innovate in order to bring them closer to citizens. In the same way, their next pragmatic insights refer, first, to the “local institutions, (the) governance and (the) law”, and second, to “economics and finance at city level”, which correspond to a complementary pair of unavoidable issues that creates an opportune and explicit framework oriented to a better urban development than what we currently know. | dc.description | De acuerdo al Informe 2011 de ONU-Hábitat, se revela que en los años venideros va a centrar su trabajo global en el desarrollo urbano sustentable, valiéndose de tres prioridades prácticas. Estas prioridades, se refieren a que se implante una "nueva planificación urbanística", y como tal, se convierte en una invitación directa a revisar nuestros actuales instrumentos de planificación territorial (IPT), explorar cómo poder mejorarlos, e innovar para acercarlos a la ciudadanía. En igual dirección, sus dos siguientes discernimientos pragmáticos, se refieren a las "instituciones locales, (la) gobernabilidad y (la) legislación" el primero, y a la "economía y financiamiento en el plano urbano", el que le sigue, correspondiendo a un par complementario de temas asociados e ineludibles, que completa un oportuno marco de referencia explícito, orientado hacia un mejor desarrollo urbano que el conocido hasta ahora.
