| dc.description | This article discusses different aspects of natural disasters in Peru over the last decades, due to the fact that the territorial features of this country result in a permanent natural risk that threatens its geography, where cities suffer part of the most important catastrophes. For this reason, this article suggests the need for a disaster prevention policy to foresee and mitigate the impact of these disasters, highlighting the idea that this is a mission for all members of society, and putting forward the role of urban and territorial planning as a tool for prevention.An important part of this investigation is the result of innumerable actions taken by the State and by different private and public civil organizations of the Republic. | en-US |
| dc.description | Este trabajo, se refiere a los distintos aspectos que tocan a los desastres naturales en el Perú en las últimas décadas, cuyo territorio por sus características, se ve permanentemente amenazado por innumerables riesgos que atentan contra su geografía y entre las que las ciudades sufren parte de los más importantes embates catastróficos. Por lo anterior, es que en este documento, se plantea la necesidad de una política de prevención de desastres, que permita prever y minimizar los impactos de esos desastres, destacando que ésta es una labor de todos los estamentos de la sociedad y que una forma racional de esa prevención es la herramienta de la planificación urbana y del territorio.Parte importante de esta investigación, es resultado de las innumerables acciones acometidas tanto por el estado como por las distintas organizaciones civiles, privadas y estatales, de la República. | es-ES |
