En Bahía de Banderas se ha manisfestado en años recientes un deterioro ambiental, como consecuencia principal de la inadecuada ocupación territorial por parte de los sectores turístico e inmobiliario, así mismo una planeación regional y local ineficiente por parte del sector oficial y los diferentes desarrolladores turísticos que intervienen en el proceso, que además de no haber contemplado planteamientos en los que se incluyan desarrollos sustentables acordes con la biodiversidad existente en la zona.Al analizar las características particulares de las actividades turísticas, es importante reconocer el impacto que estas tienen sobre el ámbito territorial, económico y social. Mediante la evaluación de las transformaciones en el territorio correspondientes al paisaje costero; así como la introducción de usos y costumbres por parte de los visitantes, que producen implicaciones sociales manifestadas en la pérdida de la identidad regional.In Bahia de Banderas has appeared in recent years, environmental degradation, as major consequence of the inadequate land occupation by the tourism and real estate, itself and inefficient regional planning and local government sector by the developers and the various tourist involved in the process, besides not having contemplated approaches which include sustainable development in line with the biodiversity of the area.By analyzing the characteristics of tourism, it is important to recognize the impact these have on the territorial, economic and social development.
