dc.descriptionThis paper deals with the different projects carried out by government authorities with the aim of solving some of the civil insecurity problems faced by our country. Out of all these projects, the urban improvement and Communal Facilities Program is presented in more detail and more specifically, the typology of the projects belonging to the Neighborhood Security sub-program, since this is the only one aiming at residential security. Magnitude, typologies and beneficiaries of the 1993 and 1994 projects are also presented.en-US
dc.descriptionEl presente artículo trata sobre las diferentes iniciativas llevadas a cabo por las autoridades gubernamentales en el intento por solucionar algunos de los problemas de inseguridad que aquejan a nuestro país. De todas estas iniciativas se aborda con mayor detalle el Programa de Mejoramiento Urbano y Equipamiento Comunal, específicamente la tipología de los proyectos del sub-programa de Seguridad Vecinal, por ser el único destinado a incrementar la seguridad residencial. Se entregan además magnitud, tipologías y beneficiarios de los proyectos gestionados en 1993 y 1994.es-ES
