El presente artículo hace referencia al proceso de reconfiguración socio-cultural de las poblaciones indígenas del valle central, tomando como eje de análisis el pueblo de indios de Huenchullamí. En este sentido, y a través de un enfoque microhistórico, se consideran fenómenos como el mestizaje y el avance de los terratenientes sobre la comunidad, ahondando en los mecanismos de integración y exclusión que facilitaron la mudanza étnica e identitaria. Las fuentes utilizadas corresponden fundamentalmente a expedientes de la Capitanía General y la Real Audiencia así como a registros de la Parroquia de Curepto.The following article refers to the socio-cultural reconfiguration process of indigenous people from central valley, using the indian village of Huenchullami as center of analysis. In this sense, and through a microhistorical approach, phenomenons such as the mixture of races and the landowner advancement over the community are considered, delving into the mechanisms of integration and exclusion that facilitated the identity and ethnic changes. The sources used are primarily records from the Capitanía General (General Captaincy) and the Real Audiencia (Royal Court) as well as records from the Parroquia de Curepto (Curepto Parish).
