Las transformaciones sociales y culturales que se produjeronen los años sesenta y setenta en Francia dieron lugar a unaprofunda reconsideración de la teoría y la práctica de la historia.Este artículo se centra en las aportaciones que hicieronen ese contexto Michel Foucault, Paul Veyne y François Furet.Los tres sintieron que la necesaria renovación epistemológicapasaba por recuperar las obras de grandes figuras del pensamiento,como Friedrich Nietzsche, Max Weber y Alexis deTocqueville. Hoy aún podemos aprender de ellos maneras deproseguir la interminable tarea de repensar la historia.Palabras clave: historiografía francesa, teoría de la historia,Michel Foucault, Paul Veyne, François Furet.The social and cultural transformations of the sixties and theseventies in France gave place to an intense rethinking of thetheory and practice of history. This article is focused on thecontributions which Michel Foucault, Paul Veyne and FrançoisFuret made in that context. The three of them sensed that thenecessary epistemological renewal implied recovering theworks of great figures of thought like Friedrich Nietzsche, MaxWeber, and Alexis de Tocqueville.
