| dc.description | The social and cultural transformations of the sixties and theseventies in France gave place to an intense rethinking of thetheory and practice of history. This article is focused on thecontributions which Michel Foucault, Paul Veyne and FrançoisFuret made in that context. The three of them sensed that thenecessary epistemological renewal implied recovering theworks of great figures of thought like Friedrich Nietzsche, MaxWeber, and Alexis de Tocqueville.
