| dc.description | The aim of this article is to describe some cognitive processes that are basic for the initial reading. Initial reading is the period in which children become aware and learn the written language. This period have several stages, coming from a pre-alphabetic stage to a comprehensive reading. Recent researches show that there are different cognitive processes that give foundation to learning to read and that they have not the same weight in the successives children’s strategies for learning. | en-US |
| dc.description | El objetivo de este artículo es describir algunos procesos cognitivos básicos para el aprendizaje de la lectura inicial, a partir de investigaciones recientes. Se considera como “etapa de lectura inicial” el período en el cual los niños toman conocimiento del lenguaje escrito e inician su aprendizaje. Este aprendizaje consta de varios estadios que se inician con una etapa prelectora, hasta llegar a una etapa de lectura y de escritura alfabético-comprensiva. Algunas investigaciones señalan que no todos los procesos cognitivos y psicolingüísticos que se desarrollan durante la etapa preescolar tienen igual incidencia para que los niños efectúen un buen aprendizaje del lenguaje escrito en los estadios siguientes, por lo cual este artículo se centra en aquellos que serían indispensables para el éxito en la lectura inicial. | es-ES |
