In this work some interesting elements about external agents (given by the environment or the context) and internal agents (personal thinking), that influence the student in the teaching-learning process of mathematics are developed. Among these would be the human patterns available, the accurate exercise guide, and the knowledge and right use of the conclusions and mental operations, in particular, abstraction and imagination.En este trabajo se tratan algunos elementos de interés respecto de los agentes externos (dados por el medio o por el contexto), e internos (reflexión personal), que influyen en las actitudes del alumno al enfrentar el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje de la matemática. Entre éstos estarían los modelos humanos que él dispone, las guías adecuadas de ejercicios y el conocimiento y buen uso de los razonamientos y operaciones mentales, entre los cuales se destacan y analizan la abstracción e imaginación.
