dc.description	In Juan carlos Onetti’s short story «el infierno tan temido» the female monster can be observed in detail. According to mary helene huet, like a woman, the monster, —sign of disorder in a system that seeks the normalization of the bodies — is defined by its imposture, for its capacity to mutate and adopt other identities in an incredible display of masquerades. The story ends with the suicide of the main character and the survival of women, crucial features for the exaltation of women as sublime monsters. The grotesque imaginary (bakhtin) that i privilege in this reading reveals the extent of this monster, for the «grotesque»evokes the image of the cave-like female body.	en-US

Según mary helene huet, como la mujer, el monstruo —signo de desorden en un sistema que busca la normalización de los cuerpos—, se define por su impostura, por su capacidad de mutar y adoptar otras identidades en un despliegue increíble de mascaradas. el relato culmina con el suicidio del protagonista y la supervivencia de las mujeres, gestos cruciales para la exaltación de la mujer como monstruo sublime. el imaginario grotesco (bajtín), que privilegio en esta lectura, permite revelar el alcance de este monstruo, pues lo «grotesco», que veo como una extensión del monstruo, evoca la imagen del cuerpo femenino y cavernoso.	es-ES
