dc.descriptionThe aim of the social psychology of memory is to understand and intervene in the processes of collective memory from a discursive and performative approach, looking both at the narrations about the past and at the uses of public space in the actions of recalling. This paper presents the conceptual path that the Social Psychology of Memory Team at the University of Chile has developed during its research and action trajectory. Drawing on the multiple studies conducted, this paper shows how incorporating the performative dimension of memory has involved a theoretical and methodological emphasis on the study of commemoration, places of memory and policies on memories. The article also shows certain shifts in research, which have gone from focusing on the study of the figure of the victim to considering “other memories”, those constructed by non-victim subjects, bearing in mind the differences between the generations that did not experience the dictatorship in Chile andthose that did.en-US
dc.description  La psicología social de la memoria busca comprender e intervenir en los procesos de memoria colectiva desde un enfoque discursivo y performativo, atendiendo tanto a las narraciones del pasado como a los usos del espacio público en las acciones de recordar. Se presenta el recorrido conceptual e investigativo que el equipo de Psicología Social de la Memoria de la Universidad de Chile ha desarrollado durante su trayectoria. A partir de las diversas investigaciones realizadas, se muestra cómo la incorporación de la dimensión performativa de la memoria ha implicado un énfasis teórico y metodológico en el estudio de conmemoraciones, lugares de memoria y políticas del recuerdo. Asimismo, se da cuenta de ciertos desplazamientos investigativos que han llevado desde el estudio de las memorias centradas en la figura de la víctima a la comprensión de “otras memorias”, aquellas que construyen sujetos no víctimas, considerando las diferencias entre las generaciones que no vivieron la dictadura en Chile y las que sí lo hicieron. es-ES
