Analysis of Ibero-American Journals of Psychology and Education indexed in the Journal Citation Reports of 2013

dc.descriptionA literature review was performed on Ibero-American journals of Psychology and Education indexed in the Journal Citation Reports (JCR) of 2013. In order to determine their situation, use was made of the indicators provided by the JCR (Impact Factor of 2013, of the last five years, and their progression, as well as the Immediacy Index of 2013, journal country of origin country, and position and quartile of each journal in its category). Data was also obtained from the Web of Science Core Collection (WoS) (h index, g index, mean citations per article, total citations, indexing year of the WoS, and author country of origin). A total of 29 journals from both disciplines were found indexed in the JCR of 2013. Spain is the Ibero-American country with more indexed journals (12 of Psychology and 7 of Education). For Psychology, the International Journal of Clinical and Health Psychology is the only Ibero-American journal in the first quartile, and has the highest IF of the Ibero-American journals (2.915). For Education, the journal Cultura y Educación has the highest IF (.375), a higher hindex (6) and a higher g index (7) shared with the journal Comunicar.en-US
dc.descriptionCon el objetivo de conocer la situación de las revistas iberoamericanas de Psicología y de Educación indexadas en el Journal Citation Reports (JCR) del 2013, se realizó un estudio bibliométrico de dichas revistas atendiendo a los indicadores proporcionados por el JCR (factor de impacto [FI] del 2013, de los últimos 5 años y evolución del mismo, índice de inmediatez del 2013, país de origen, y posición y cuartil de cada revista dentro de su categoría) y obtenidos a través de la Colección Principal de la Web of Science (WoS) (índice h, índice g, media de citas por artículo, total de citas, año de indexación en la WoS y países de procedencia de los autores). Entre ambas disciplinas se obtuvieron 29 revistas indexadas en el JCR del 2013, siendo España el país iberoamericano con más revistas indexadas (12 de Psicología y 7 de Educación). Para Psicología, International Journal of Clinical and Health Psychology es la única revista iberoamericana en el primer cuartil y la que mayor FI tiene (2.915). Para Educación, la revista Cultura y Educación es la que tiene mayor FI (.375), mayor índice h (6) y mayor índice g (7) compartido con la revista Comunicar.es-ES
