In this note Liliana Baltra shares her reflections on the practice of translating some poems by Gabriela Mistral from Spanish to English. As a translator of these literary texts, Baltra considers her work a Herculean task that needs to fine tune to the peculiar cultural dimension and linguistic idiosyncrasies of the poet.En esta nota Liliana Baltra comparte sus reflexiones sobre el ejercicio de traducir algunos poemas de Gabriela Mistral del castellano al inglés. Como traductora de estos textos literarios, Baltra considera que se trata de una tarea hercúlea que requiere un sintonía fina con las peculiaridades de la  dimensión cultural y la idisiosincracia lingüística de la poeta.
