Se plantea una reflexión en torno al significado de la educación social con base enalgunas interrogantes como: dónde habita una educación social establecida desdey en nuestro entorno, qué configuraciones de sentido podrían concebirse para suconstrucción y estudio, qué aportes podrían acogerse de otras experiencias y cuálconstituye nuestra diferencia. Su aproximación metodológica se plantea como unabúsqueda de sentido sin eximir la recurrencia a informaciones contextualizadas loque permite entrar en el campo de la comunicación social, adoptando un lenguajecon significantes abiertos a interpretaciones.The paper presents reflections with respect to the meaning of social education, basedon some questions such as: is there a space for a social education established fromand within our environment; what sense configurations could be conceived for itsconstruction and study; what contributions could be gathered from other experiences,and what constitutes our difference. Its methodological approach is presented as thesearch for sense, without disregarding resorting to contextualized information, whichmakes it possible to enter the field of social communication, adopting a languagewith meanings open to interpretation.
