The present work investigates in what measure the philosophy of Descartes is constructed on the paradigm of mathematics as the French philosopher understood them. It proposes that it will be the mathematical way of thinking that allows to create the philosophy of certainty and to inaugurate thereby the modern way of thinking.El presente trabajo indaga en qué medida la filosofía de Descartes está construida a partir del paradigma de las matemáticas tal como el filósofo francés las comprendió. Se propone que será el modo matemático de pensar el que permite crear la filosofía de la certeza e inaugurar así gran parte de la filosofía y el pensar modernos.
