This instrumental research sought to determine the factorial structure and the psychometric properties of the adaptation of the Behavioral Scale of Anxiety for Examinations to the context of subjects with numerical content in Venezuelan university students, to obtain a scale version that would be more psychometrically rigorous. The methodology used was of 2 phases or steps, also known as a non-restrictive exploration with confirmatory purposes. The results indicate that, unlike the bifactorial model of the original study, this version has a structure of three factors in the first level, to which a total score of the second level can be added, whose calculation reflects the magnitude of the behavioral severity of anxiety. Its internal consistency was excellent, and its predictive capacity and factorial invariance remained to be determined.Esta investigación instrumental buscó determinar la estructura factorial y las propiedades psicométricas de la adaptación de la Escala Conductual de Ansiedad Frente a los Exámenes al contexto de asignaturas con contenido numérico en estudiantes universitarios venezolanos, de manera de procurar una versión de la escala que fuese psicométricamente más rigurosa. La metodología utilizada fue la de 2 fases o pasos, también conocida como exploratoria no restrictiva con fines confirmatorios. Los resultados indican que, a diferencia del modelo bifactorial del estudio original, esta versión cuenta con una estructura de tres factores de primer nivel, a los que se le puede agregar un puntaje total de segundo nivel, cuyo cálculo refleja la magnitud de la severidad conductual de la ansiedad. Su consistencia interna fue excelente, quedando aún por determinar su capacidad predictiva y de invarianza factorial.
