The aim of this paper is to defend the need to change the way of teaching the history of literature. To do this, we start from the premise that such a change must be generated as early as in the teacher training. Thus, we show, first, an anthropological (in both meanings –“holistic” and “human”) conception of literature, based on the concept of “context of production” and, secondly, we offer a teaching experience with undergraduate students from a Spanish university, where we decided to test the template of literary analysis, in general, with great results.El objetivo de este artículo es defender la necesidad de cambiar el modo de enseñar la historia de la literatura. Para ello, partimos de la base de que dicho cambio ha de generarse en la raíz del sistema educativo, esto es, en la formación de profesores. De ahí que mostremos, primero, una concepción antropológica (en el sentido científico de “holística” y en el filosófico de “humana”) de la literatura, apelando al concepto de “contexto de producción” y, después, ofrezcamos una experiencia de aula en una universidad española, a la que se llevó el modelo de análisis literario propuesto, con excelentes resultados, en general.
