A difficulty that appears when studying the processes that influence the interpretation of texts is the variability of individuals; in addition to their innate cognitive processing, they associate different objects, places, and other stimuli to a certain emotional meaning through their multiple learning experiences (topdown processing). A second concern is the emotional meaning in the text itself; the literary content brings mental images and an emotional effect that influence the reader since some have a deeper emotional meaning than others (bottom-up processing). This is closely related to the study of emotional semantics, which refers to the emotions that reading a text generate. These at same time modify the interpretation of the plot but not the meaning or literal definition of the words; furthermore, this represents an experimental challenge for researchers, since it is difficult to control the origin of the stimuli that intervene in the actual textual interpretation. The present work aims to show the need to generate a tool that responds to these narrative challenges. Moreover, this tool seeks to satisfy both the ecological demands and internal validity. Therefore, it is proposed that the texts and research situations must have the following characteristics: a) closeness to reality; b) elaborated linguistic objects; c) reader as an active participant; d) validated narrative texts; e) unknown stimuli and f) multivalent propositional content.Una dificultad que surge al estudiar los procesos subyacentes en la interpretación de un texto es la variabilidad de los individuos que, además de sus procesamientos cognitivos innatos, mediante sus experiencias van asociando diferentes objetos, lugares y demás estímulos a cierto significado emocional a través del aprendizaje (procesamiento top-down). Una segunda dificultad es la carga emocional misma del texto, es decir, las imágenes mentales que generan los contenidos literarios y el efecto emocional que estos inducen en el lector, ya que algunos poseen una carga más saliente que otros (procesamiento bottom-up). Lo anterior está relacionado estrechamente con el estudio de la semántica emocional, que se refiere a las emociones generadas al leer un texto, que a su vez modifican la interpretación de la trama, mas no al significado o definición literal de las palabras, y representa un reto experimental para los investigadores, pues imposibilita controlar la procedencia de los estímulos que intervienen en la interpretación (o elaboración) textual. El presente trabajo pretende mostrar la necesidad de generar una herramienta que dé respuesta a estas dificultades al desarrollar textos narrativos que suplan tanto las demandas de validez ecológica como de la validez interna. Para esto, se propone que los textos y situaciones de investigación deben contar con las siguientes características: a) cercanía a la realidad; b) objetos lingüísticos elaborados; c) lector como participante activo; d) textos narrativos validados; e) estímulos desconocidos por los participantes y f) contenido proposicional multivalente.
