dc.descriptionOutgrowth of the incipient Renaissance, the Latin humanistic comedy offers as one of its most outstanding features the persistent purpose of drawing heavily on the language, structure and arguments of Plautus and Terence’s ancient Roman comedy. In this article we propose to examine in detail how this tendency is captured in the case of the comedy Emporia, by Tito Livio Frulovisi, specifically in terms of its phraseology and lexis.en-US
