| dc.description | (The corpus studied involves all the editorials on international affairs during a six years period published in El Siglo, the official newspaper of Chile’s Communist Party. The texts are studied on the basis of the following semanticdiscoursive components: (1) descriptive-evaluative; (2) didactic-ethical;(3) prescriptive-exhortative. The programmatic-promisory component is almost absent as it appears to be more typical of oral political discourse. Regarding enunciation, examples are given of appreciative-axiological, epistemic, alethic, deontic and volitive modalities. There appears to be a certain similarity with a previously-studied corpus from the conservative press. The evidence suggests a tentative identification of the readers addressed by both corpuses. Also, there are appears to be some correspondence between various discourse levels and one syntactic choice.) | en-US |
| dc.description | El corpus estudiado comprende todos los editoriales sobre temas internacionales publicados durante seis años en El Siglo, vocero del Partido Comunista chileno. Los textos son estudiados a base de estos componentes semánticodiscursivos: (1) descriptivo-evaluativo; (2) didáctico-ético; (3) prescriptivoevaluativo. Se hace notar la casi total ausencia del componente programáticopromisorio, más característico del discurso político oral. En materia de enunciado, se estudian ejemplos de las modalidades apreciativa-axiológica, epistémica, alética, deóntica y volitiva. El resultado indica una cierta similitud con nuestro estudio previo sobre la prensa conservadora y permite hacer una identificación tentativa sobre el tipo de lectores de ambos corpus. Además, parece existir una cierta correspondencia entre varios niveles discursivos y un uso sintáctico. | es-ES |
