Concerning the link that may subsist between the theory of translation and the theory of the subject (the concept of melancholy offers here a provisional help), in this paper I propose a brief discussion of some difficulties and paradoxes of the relation between original and translation and of the problematic equation of translation and language. These considerations suggest, from the point of view of translation, the relevance of a logic of repetition, and, from the point of view of the subject, the necessary attention towards the event of an effacement of the self in the act of writing, which both may be keys to the analysis of the link previously mentionedEn el contexto de una pregunta por el vínculo que pueda haber entre teoría de la traducción y teoría del sujeto (auxiliada tentativamente por el concepto de melancolía), este artículo ensaya algunas consideraciones que discuten sumariamente ciertas aporías y paradojas de la relación entre original y traducción y la problemática ecuación de traducción y lenguaje. Estas consideraciones sugieren, del lado de la traducción, la relevancia de una lógica de la repetición y, del lado del sujeto, la atención al acontecimiento de la desposesión en el acto de escritura, como claves, ambos, para el tratamiento del vínculo primeramente indicado
