| dc.description | This study intends to show the lines of agreement –rather than the differences– between the testimonies of Aristophanes and Plato concerning the re- presentation of the character Socrates in Aristophanes’ comedy Clouds. From the perspective of the historical view of Socrates, it seems possible to state that there are a number of common features between Plato’s view of Socrates and the character in Aristophanes. | dc.description | La representación del personaje Sócrates en la comedia las Nubes de Aristófanes, si bien controversial, es objeto aquí de un análisis que busca poner de manifiesto los puntos de acuerdo, más allá de las diferencias, entre los testimonios del comediógrafo y los del filósofo Platón. Suponiendo que la figura del Sócrates platónico corresponde básicamente a la realidad histórica, parece posible demostrar que hay numerosos puntos de acuerdo con el perso- naje Aristófanes.
