| dc.description | According to critical posthumanism, the human being is constituted in relation and mutual influence with other animals and machines. Through a severe criticism of humanism, the centre of which has been a prototypical human being, critical posthumanism takes a stance against any dualism and declares the interpenetration between humans, animals and technology. As the technological advancements of the last decades have been dramatic, it is reasonable to ask how the posthumanist perspective can affect the interpretation of a faculty traditionally considered as human par excellence: language. This article is focused on written discourse comprehension and poses the following question: how do the posthumans of the 21st century understand discourse? The current highly digitalised context is presented, along with the challenges it poses for reading comprehension, from a posthumanist perspective. The literature review includes a series of empirical findings, which, interpreted in the light of critical posthumanism, allow for a first characterisation of what written discourse comprehension means nowadays. This issue brings forth a series of educational implications that are highly relevant for current and future practices; these are discussed in the final section of the article. | en-US |
| dc.description | Según el posthumanismo crítico, el ser humano se constituye en relación y mutua influencia con los otros animales y las máquinas. A través de una severa crítica al humanismo, cuyo centro ha sido un ser humano prototípico, plantea una postura contraria a cualquier dualismo y postula la permeabilidad de lo humano, lo animal y lo tecnológico. Como los avances tecnológicos de las últimas décadas han sido vertiginosos, es legítimo preguntarse cómo se puede interpretar bajo esta mirada una de las facultades tradicionalmente consideradas como humanas por excelencia: el lenguaje. Concretamente, el presente trabajo se sitúa en el marco de la comprensión del discurso escrito y plantea la pregunta: ¿cómo comprende el discurso escrito el posthumano del s. XXI? Bajo el foco del posthumanismo, se presenta el contexto actual altamente digitalizado y los desafíos que este presenta para la comprensión de lectura. La revisión bibliográfica incluye una serie de hallazgos empíricos, que, interpretados con la mirada posthumanista crítica, permiten una primera caracterización de lo que es la comprensión del discurso escrito hoy en día. El tema presenta implicancias educativas de suma relevancia para las prácticas actuales y futuras, las cuales también se discuten al final del artículo. | es-ES |
