| dc.description | Desde antaño la imagen cumplió un rol fundamental en las culturas como representadora de diversas realidades, esto pues dentro de sus cualidades destaca la ilimitada interpretación que significa para sus receptores. Sin embargo el escenario de la sociedad actual, caracterizada por la masificación/apropiación tecnológica, ha otorgado un papel tanto protagónico como trascendente al ícono. Es a través de la imagen que hoy se ejercen mecanismos de poder y control sociocultural, a fin de mantener los límites y normas en orden. Así, los mensajes ciertamente persuasivos que guardan las imágenes en su interior, dan cuenta de un constante ejercicio de dominación social por parte de �otros�, hecho en el que el progreso tecnológico juega un papel fundamental: se convierte en la materia prima para masificar mensajes llenos de retórica, cuyo fin último es guiar/moldear ideologías, conductas y opiniones de la sociedad. Todo lo anterior lo podemos ver reflejado en una cada vez mayor homogeneización y limitación imaginaria-creativa de los seres humanos en su integridad. | es-ES |
