dc.description	No doubt each motor activity is the basis of all further learning; children's natural happiness when moving, and their feeling of being "in control" after acquiring movement skills favor both their physical and mental health. When this is accomplished, it plays a significant role in children's ability to concentrate on and master their homework. Keeping this in mind, it was deemed important to carry out a study that would allow us to learn about motor skills development of six-to-ten year-old school children of the Maule Region in Chile. The number of students assessed in this study was 2.824. Results will contribute to making a diagnosis of the current situation, and together with a solid scientific base, they will contribute to the planning of future steps aiming at developing a more authentic and meaningful learning experience for children, within the context of psychomotor development.	en-US
dc.description	Es indudable que todo acto motor es la base de todo aprendizaje posterior, la natural alegría del niño en eI movimiento y su sensación de dominio cuando adquiere habilidades de movimiento, favorece la salud física y mental, cuando mejora tiene implicancia en la capacidad del niño de concentrarse en sus tareas y aprenderlas. Por lo anterior, consideramos importante realizar un estudio que nos permitiera conocer el desarrollo de las habilidades motrices de Ios estudiantes entre 6 a 10 años de edad de la Región del Maule (se evaluaron 2824 estudiantes) ya que ello ayudará a diagnosticar su situación actual lo que nos permitirá con una sólida base científica ir pensando en futuros pasos que nos concedan ir favoreciendo aprendizajes más auténticos y significativos para nuestros niños y niñas en el ámbito del desarrollo psicomotor.	es-ES
