With the arrival of the new coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2), the city of Wuhan has become a focus of world study as the starting point of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. The objective of this literature review is to describe the status of infectious diseases in the city of Wuhan previous to the pandemic through the publications found.Con la llegada del nuevo coronavirus  (SARS-CoV-2), la ciudad de Wuhan, se ha transformado en foco de estudio mundial por ser el punto de inicio de la  pandemia del SARS-CoV-2. El objetivo de esta revisión de literatura es describir mediante las publicaciones encontradas el estado de las enfermedades infectocontagiosas en la ciudad de Wuhan previo a la pandemia.
