| dc.description | This paper seeks to understand the relationship between the concepts of freedom and passion in the existentialist philosophy of the French philosopher Jean-Paul Sartre. This relationship is problematic because although the philosophical tradition tended to conceive the human person as an essentially free being, since at least the nineteenth century some positions that questioned that hegemonic conception emerged with great force, defending determinisms of the most diverse types (social, cultural, economic, biological, among others). The text explains why Sartre denies the biological explanation of the passionate phenomenon and the introduction of the unconscious made by Freudian psychoanalysis. In short, it delves into why existentialism does not believe in the power of passion and, therefore, defends the radical freedom of the human person. | en-US |
| dc.description | El presente trabajo busca comprender la relación que existe entre los conceptos de libertad y pasión en la filosofía existencialista del filósofo francés Jean-Paul Sartre. Relación que es problemática porque si bien la tradición filosófica tendió a concebir a la persona humana como un ser esencialmente libre, desde al menos el siglo XIX surgieron con mucha fuerza algunas posturas que pusieron en duda aquella concepción hegemónica, defendiendo determinismos de los más diversos tipos (sociales, culturales, económicos, biológicos, entre otros). El texto expone el porqué Sartre reniega de la explicación biológica del fenómeno pasional y también de la introducción del inconsciente hecho por el psicoanálisis freudiano. En definitiva, se ahonda acerca de por qué el existencialismo no cree en el poder de la pasión y, por consiguiente, defiende la libertad radical de la persona humana. | es-ES |
