| dc.description | In this article we present a translation analysis of some sayings taken from Miguel de Cervantes's masterpiece, Don Quixote, and its Arabic version by the Syrian translator Rif`at `Atfah, paying special attention to the translation techniques handled by the translator. We will try to identify each analyzed saying, and except in cases of null equivalence, we will offer alternative translations of a paremiological nature, which we do not consider as the only valid versions, but rather as translation proposals, taking into account the paremiological translation techniques and the frequency of use of paremias. We add an annex that contains the sayings of our corpus, accompanied by their Arabic correspondents that we have located according to the techniques of searching for paremiological correspondence. | en-US |
| dc.description | En este artículo presentamos un análisis traductológico de algunos refranes extraídos de la obra maestra de Miguel de Cervantes, El Quijote, y de su versión al árabe realizada por el traductor sirio Rif`at `Atfah, prestando especial atención a las técnicas de traducción manejadas por el traductor. Trataremos de identificar cada refrán analizado, y excepto en los casos de equivalencia nula, ofreceremos traducciones alternativas de carácter paremiológico, que de ningún modo consideramos como únicas versiones válidas, sino como propuestas de traducción, teniendo en cuenta las técnicas de traducción paremiológicas y la frecuencia de uso de las paremias. Agregamos un anexo que contiene los refranes de nuestro corpus, acompañados de sus correspondientes árabes que hemos localizado de acuerdo con las técnicas de búsqueda de correspondencia paremiológica. | es-ES |
