dc.description	To deepen and explore new perspectives in the field of translating locutions from Arabic into Spanish. The translation into Spanish of locutions present in the novel ‘The woman of oblivion’ by Arabic author Mohamed Berrada were analyzed to find out the importance of contextual manifestations in the translation process as well as to check the usefulness of new theories in the critical analysis of the translation. It was found that the problems raised by the translation of the locutions force translators to choose from different strategies: partial equivalence, literalization; null equivalence or omission. The translation of locutions entails a decisive textual-contextual, cognitive, and pragmatic component that raises problems that are more difficult to solve the farther the languages to be translated are from each other.	en-US
dc.description	Profundizar y abrir nuevas perspectivas en el campo de la traducción de las locuciones entre el árabe y el español. Se analizó la traducción al español de las locuciones en la novela árabe “La mujer del olvido”, de Mohamed Berrada, para averiguar la importancia de las manifestaciones contextuales en el proceso de traducción y poder comprobar la utilidad de las nuevas teorías en el análisis crítico de la traducción. Se encontró que los problemas planteados por la traducción de las locuciones obligan a los traductores a optar por diferentes estrategias como la equivalencia parcial, la literalización; la equivalencia nula o la omisión. La traducción de las locuciones comporta un componente textual-contextual, cognitivo y pragmático decisivo que plantea problemas más difíciles de resolver cuanto más son alejadas las lenguas de la traducción.	es-ES
