| dc.description | Nowadays, social networks have fostered the use of written language and facilitated communication exchanges, since they have a common language in which the symbols used are outside the established spelling rules. The problem occurs when students transfer the writing patterns of social networks to formal academic texts, disregarding the standard norm and the context. Therefore, the objective of this research is to analyze the incidence of the writing patterns of the digital discursive genre that is WhatsApp in the formal academic discourse of 4th grade students of a high school in the Antofagasta minicipality. The study is proposed as a non-experimental investigation, from a mixed approach, it is transactional-exploratory and descriptive. The data collection instruments are a questionnaire and a set of linguistic corpora of formal academic texts and corpora of WhatsApp conversations. The results show that there is an incidence in the use of the writing patterns of the WhatsApp digital discursive genre in academic texts. The linguistic phenomena with the highest predominance are: apocope and lexical substitution by image, however, contrary to expectations, their level of intrusion is low, they do not significantly alter the production or comprehension of the academic text. The above mentioned allows us to reinforce the idea that there must be awareness of the writing process, as academic texts represent the link for the acquisition of professional knowledge, which cannot be neglected in the training of competent citizens for the 21st century. | en-US |
| dc.description | En la actualidad, las redes sociales han propiciado el uso de la lengua escrita y facilitado los intercambios comunicacionales, poseen un lenguaje común en el cual los símbolos empleados están fuera de las normas ortográficas establecidas. El problema se produce cuando los estudiantes trasladan las pautas de escritura de las redes sociales hacia textos académicos formales, desatendiendo a la norma estándar y al contexto. Por lo anterior, el objetivo de esta investigación es analizar la incidencia de las pautas de escritura del género discursivo digital Whatsaap en el discurso académico formal de los estudiantes de 4° medio de un liceo de la comuna de Antofagasta. El estudio se plantea como una investigación no experimental, desde un enfoque mixto, es transaccional-exploratorio y descriptivo. Los instrumentos de recolección de información consideran un cuestionario y dos corpus lingüísticos: textos académicos formales y conversaciones de WhatsApp. Los resultados evidencian que existe incidencia en el uso de las pautas de escritura del género discursivo digital Whatsaap en los textos académicos. Los fenómenos lingüísticos con mayor preponderancia son: la apócope y la sustitución léxica por imagen; sin embargo, contrario a lo esperado, el nivel de intromisión de estos es bajo y no alteran notablemente la producción ni comprensión del texto académico. Lo anterior, permite reforzar la idea de que debe existir conciencia del proceso de escritura, que los textos académicos son “puente” para la adquisición de conocimientos profesionales y que no pueden desatenderse en la formación de ciudadanos competentes para el siglo XXI. | es-ES |
