The Mapuche language, the predominant language among indigenous languages in Chile, exhibits a variety of dialects with varying levels of preservation in the geographical areas where it is currently spoken. The study presented here has been designed to obtain a sociolinguistic diagnosis of the Mapuche-Huilliche subgroup located in the tenth region.
