This is why the environmental challenges that affect us today, such as climate change, the loss of biodiversity and pollution management, need to resort to novel resolution methods because the current ones cannot solve them alone. In this scenario, the large amount of data, AI and digital transformation can play an essential role in ensuring environmental sustainability and sustainable development. In order to allow research on the environment, and examine the use of Artificial Intelligence, for the management of environmental problems that affect the planet.La presente investigación permite describir en forma general la capacidad que tiene la Inteligencia Artificial, para ayudar a resolver diversas tareas ambientales, tales como, gases de efecto invernadero, huella de carbono, principalmente, sobre el medio ambiente. Es por ello que los desafíos ambientales que nos afectan hoy, como el cambio climático, la pérdida de biodiversidad y el manejo de la contaminación, necesitan recurrir a métodos novedosos de resolución porque los actuales no logran solo resolverlos. En este escenario, la gran cantidad de datos, la IA y la transformación digital, pueden tomar un papel esencial a fin de garantizar la sostenibilidad ambiental y el desarrollo sostenible. De forma de permitir investigar en medio ambiente, y examinar el uso de la Inteligencia Artificial, para la gestión de los problemas ambientales que afectan al planeta.
