| dc.description | The aim of this paper is first to analyse several philosophical conceptions of logi- cal form which have as a common basis the laws and principles of classical first order logic. Then such conceptions are critically contrasted with a conception of logical form advocated by Chomsky in the 80's, the Government and Binding Theory. Finally, we are going to argue that, although apparently at odds with each other, both kinds of conceptions can coincide when a systematic explanation of how they assign meaning to each of their logical forms is provided and when we explore the issue about what kind of cognitive foundations would allow us to define the logical constants which such forms are based upon. | en-US |
| dc.description | En el presente artículo se analizan primero varias concepciones filosóficas de forma lógica cuya base son las leyes y principios de la lógica extensional de primer orden. A continuación dichas concepciones se contrastan con una teoría chomskyana de forma lógica surgida en los años 80, la teoría de Rección y Ligamento. Finalmente se argumenta que, aunque inicialmente las concepciones filosóficas y la concepción lingüística parecen estar motivadas por propósitos antagónicos, es posible hacerlas compatibles cuando examinamos la cuestión de cómo tales formas lógicas permiten asignar significado sistemáticamente y cuando exploramos los posibles fundamentos cognitivos que permitirían especificar las constantes lógicas en las cuales aquellas formas están basadas. | es-ES |
