The present work interrelates the technical resources of the language of the traditional guitar of the central-south zone of Chile, with compositions by Violeta Parra, Víctor Jara and Horacio Salinas and, at the same time, with the work of the composers Juan Antonio Sánchez and Xavier Contreras. This is carried out from intertextual analysis that allows us to understand the renovation and modernization of the guitar language. To this end, a general historical panorama of the guitar in Chile is presented, identifying rhythm as the main intertextual element of the Chilean side of the root guitar.El presente trabajo interrelaciona los recursos técnicos del lenguaje de la guitarra tradicional campesina de la zona centro-sur de Chile, con composiciones de Violeta Parra, Víctor Jara y Horacio Salinas y, al mismo tiempo, con el trabajo de los creadores Juan Antonio Sánchez y Javier Contreras. Esto se lleva a cabo desde análisis intertextuales que permiten comprender la renovación y modernización del lenguaje guitarrístico. Para ello se presenta un panorama histórico general de la guitarra en Chile, identificando al ritmo como el principal elemento intertextual de la vertiente chilena de la guitarra de raíz.
