Psychosocial studies of work have recognized the importance of gender in understanding the subjective constructions of workers. However, the findings of studies of men and masculinities have been incorporated to a lesser extent. Objective. This article aims to articulate the fields of psychosocial studies of work and studiesof men and masculinities, to enrich the analysis of the subjective constructions of male workers in work contexts. Method. This article was conducted through a purposive review of relevant publications from both fields, and makes use of fragments of a narrative interview with a male worker from a delivery platform in Santiago, Chile, to illustrate its main thesis regarding the value of articulating the field of psychosocial labor studies with the field of men and masculinities studies. Results. It is highlighted how elements linked to the role of provider, physical wear and tear, virility and solidarity among peers, typical of certain models of masculinity, allow understanding the constructions of labor subjectivity of male workers, which is illustrated from the. Conclusion. This paper deepened the articulation of two fundamental fields in the social sciences in relation to the subjectivities of the actors through a theoretical and analytical discussion of an interview.Objetivo. Este artículo se propone articular los campos de los estudios psicosociales del trabajo y los estudios de hombres y masculinidades, para enriquecer el análisis de las construcciones subjetivas de los trabajadores varones en contextos laborales. Metodo. Este artículo fue realizado a través de una revisión de publicaciones relevantes de ambos campos a partir de un enfoque intencionado, y hace uso de fragmentos de una entrevista narrativa a un trabajador hombre de una plataforma de reparto en Santiago de Chile, para ilustrar sus tesis principales respecto al valor que puede tener articular el campo de los estudios psicosociales del trabajo con el campo de los estudios de hombres y masculinidades. Resultados. Se destaca como elementos vinculados al rol de proveedor, al desgaste físico, a la virilidad y a la solidaridad entre pares, propios de ciertos modelos de masculinidad, permiten entender las construcciones de subjetividad laboral de trabajadores hombres, lo que es ilustrado a partir de la entrevista. Conclusión. Este trabajo profundizo en la articulación de dos campos fundamentales en las ciencias sociales en relación a las subjetividades de los actores a través de una discusión teorica y analítica de una entrevista.
