La narcodependencia es uno de los grandes problemas en salud pública, sus efectos son diversos dependiendo del tipo, cantidad, frecuencia y vía de consumo. El objetivo de este estudio es identificar las principales lesiones orales de las drogas ilegales frecuentemente consumidas en Chile (marihuana, cocaína y sus derivados), para ello se realizó una revisión exploratoria en PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, Scielo y Lilacs, entre los años 2011 y 2021, seleccionando 18 artículos (casos y controles, reportes de casos, estudios transversales y observacionales) para ser incluidos en la revisión. Se obtuvieron un total de 26 lesiones en los tejidos orales. Los consumidores de marihuana y cocaína han reportado principalmente bruxismo, leucoplasia, candidiasis, xerostomía, enfermedad periodontal, índice COPD aumentado, flujo salival disminuido y traumatismos dentoalveolares, entre otras, siendo potenciadas con las combinaciones de drogas ilegales y legales, como tabaco y alcohol. Cabe destacar que hay falta de estudios nacionales respecto al tema.Drug addiction is one of the great problems in public health, its effects are diverse depending on the type, quantity, frequency and route of consumption. The objective of this study is to identify the main oral lesions of illegal drugs frequently consumed in Chile (marijuana, cocaine and its derivatives), for which an exploratory review was carried out in PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, Scielo and Lilacs, among the years 2011 and 2021, selecting 18 articles (cases and controls, case reports, cross-sectional and observational studies) to be included in the review. A total of 26 lesions were obtained in the oral tissues. Marijuana and cocaine users have mainly reported bruxism, leukoplakia, candidiasis, xerostomia, periodontal disease, increased COPD index, decreased salivary flow and dentoalveolar trauma, among others, being enhanced by combinations of illegal and legal drugs, such as tobacco and alcohol. It should be noted that there is a lack of national studies on the subject.
