In current intellectual debates, it has become a common topic to relate the cause of political polarization to algorithmic processes present in online social networks, which have the special feature of reinforcing personal preferences (recommendation algorithms). It is believed that, by carrying out this reinforcement, one's own opinions about political debates are radicalized, giving rise to types of group polarization, tending to attack rival opinions. Beyond whether this is a question of the current era, this brief essay aims to inquire about its naturalness in the light of the classical philosophical theory of Natural Law. The questions that will guide us are: is human conflict natural? Are the echo chambers and filter bubbles responsible for harmful political polarization? These questions will allow us to distinguish human conflict from discord and from the possible violence that those who opt for certain types of radicalization may be part of. Polarization is not always the same, so the philosophical task of differentiating concepts is fundamental.En los debates intelectuales actuales, se ha vuelto un tópico común relacionar la causa de la polarización política con los procesos algorítmicos presentes en redes sociales online, que tienen como característica especial reforzar las preferencias personales (algoritmos de recomendación). Se cree que, al realizar este refuerzo, las opiniones propias acerca de los debates políticos se radicalizan, dando lugar a tipos de polarización de grupos, tendientes a atacar las opiniones contrarias. Más allá de si esto es o no una cuestión propia de la época actual, este breve ensayo pretende indagar sobre su naturalidad a la luz de la teoría filosófica clásica del Derecho Natural. Las preguntas que nos guiarán son: ¿es natural la conflictividad humana? ¿son, los echo chambers y las filter bubbles, responsables de una polarización política dañina? Estas preguntas nos permitirán distinguir el conflicto humano de la discordia y de la posible violencia de la que puedan formar parte quienes optan por ciertos tipos de radicalización. La polarización no siempre es igual, de modo que es fundamental la tarea filosófica de diferenciación de conceptos.
